About Suzanne

Suzanne Reynolds has served Of Counsel with EMP since 2020 when she retired from Wake Forest University School of Law as Dean and Professor of Law Emerita. Over her thirty-nine years of service at Wake Forest, she taught thousands of law students and served as dean of the law school for five years. An expert in family law, Suzanne wrote Reynolds on North Carolina Family Law, the state’s authoritative treatise on family law. While at Wake Forest, Suzanne continued to write appellate briefs on a variety of topics and lecture various groups about legal ethics.

She co-founded a center to provide pro bono service to victims of domestic violence, which was recognized for its excellence by a national award from the American Bar Association. Her most recent book, Ruth Bader Ginsburg: On Being American, was published in 2025 by the ABA.
